Membership
Why join IPCN
Peer contact, clearer sector information, and a shared voice. You keep control.
Who membership is for
Independent contractors
IPCN membership is intended for independent pharmacy contractors who are typically owners or directors of pharmacies that are not part of a large multiple.
If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact the office before you apply. Each application is reviewed; approval is not automatic.

Three reasons owners join
Peers
Discuss staffing, services, contracts and compliance with people in the same role.
Voice
Contribute to IPCN representation on issues affecting independent contractors.
Information
Member updates on developments that may affect your business decisions.
What membership gives you
A network of peers
Share experiences, ask questions, and contribute your own knowledge.
A stronger collective voice
Issues raised together create a clearer picture on the ground.
Better access to information
Stay closer to contractual, regulatory, service and commercial change.
Practical business support
Insight for development, operations, regulation, innovation and growth.
Opportunities to learn
Peer learning across different pharmacies and approaches.
A community that understands
Speak openly with people who know the responsibility of ownership.
What IPCN is not
Not a buying group or franchise
Members retain full independence over how they operate. IPCN does not prescribe a single business model or supplier arrangement.
The network exists to share insight and represent contractors. It does not run your pharmacy for you.

Membership questions
1Who can apply?
Independent pharmacy contractors. You will usually be a director or owner, and a registered pharmacist. IPCN can consider an exception. It does not approve one automatically.
2What does membership cost?
£240 per year excluding VAT, which is £288 including VAT. Sending the form does not take payment.
3Does membership change how I run my pharmacy?
No. Members keep full independence over how they operate. IPCN does not prescribe a single business model or supplier arrangement, and it is not a buying group or franchise.
